Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Assistant Tax Manager or Tax Manager to join their growing Tax team in Stoke.

Your Role as Tax Manager:

As an integral part of the Tax team, your responsibilities will include:
  
  • Assisting the Tax Partner in delivering advisory services for their OMB (Owner-Managed Business) client base, including areas like succession planning, restructuring, HMRC enquiries, IHT, CGT, corporate tax advice, and employee reward schemes.
  • Managing client relationships and addressing their tax-related queries.
  • Supporting the wider Tax team with compliance reviews and collaborating with colleagues in Audit and other departments.
  • Liaising with HMRC and other third parties as needed
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
  • CTA qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Proven experience handling both advisory and compliance-related tax queries.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, HMRC, and other external parties.
  • Technical expertise paired with a commercial mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
